[PORTLAND, OR ‒ March 12, 2016] – Feeling the St. Paddy’s spirit? On Saturday, March 12 at Alberta Abbey, Portland Story Theater presents Luck of the Irish, an exuberant celebration of music, stories, and entertainment steeped in the joyful energy of the Emerald Isle. The evening’s host is Brian Ó hAirt, an expert in traditional Irish sean-nos singing and dancing, a fluent Irish Gaelic speaker, and the only American singer to ever win the coveted senior title in traditional singing at the Irish Music Awards. Doors open at 7pm with live music from traditional Irish music duo Innisfree; show and festivities begin at 8pm. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door, and available at pdxstorytheater.org.

Luck of the Irish features lively stories, rowdy songs, a dash of cheeky Irish humor, and fabulous raffle prizes. Honoring Ireland’s storytelling tradition, Urban Teller Beth Rogers and founders Lawrence Howard and Lynne Duddy will share real, true stories flavored by the Emerald Isle. Jim Loewenherz and Brenda Scearcy, as the duo Innisfree, will perform traditional Irish music sure to put a spring in your step. Grab a beer and celebrate Irish heritage with Luck of the Irish.
